The SY-PG500 small laser gas telemetry instrument consists of an optical mechanical system, a signal processing system, a display and alarm system, and a housing component. Mainly used for remote measurement of methane or methane containing gases (natural gas, gas, or similar gases) concentration.
The telemetry instrument emits an infrared laser to the detection point, which can quickly measure the concentration of air masses between the detection point and the telemetry instrument. For the convenience of observation, the telemetry also simultaneously emitted a visible red laser beam to the detection point. This telemetry instrument can detect the methane concentration value at the location in real time and accurately, and display and store it. When it exceeds the alarm value, it will sound and light an alarm for personnel to make subsequent actions.
The measurement principle of this telemetry instrument fully utilizes the absorption characteristics of methane gas at a specific wavelength. When the detection beam encounters methane molecules, some of the detection beam will be absorbed by methane molecules. By measuring the absorption rate, the concentration of methane gas clusters distributed between the target point and the telemetry instrument can be determined.
